P: How can I see the PowerForce datatables from the DOS command line?.

A: The database manager maintains its external file : database table mappings in the REVMEDIA file. This utility rdir4.com will read this binary file and list out the relationship.

If you're looking for a specific file, you may execute the following command to lessen the number of files printed out:

In the directory where you wish to run RDIR4 - download here.

When prompted "Save" the program to a directory in your $PATH, or into your OINSIGHT directory under PowerForce.

RDIR4 | FIND "file_name" -- where file_name may be part of a file name.

$PATH - means your c:\windows\system32 - if you drop to DOS and type out SET, you will see an entry against PATH=lots_of_directory_listings - and these reflect the directories where Windows will look for this file (eg rdir4.com) when you type rdir4 on the DOS command line.
