Q: Please look at Natalie's (emp 354) I need $50 to be deducted from her pay each week however it keeps deducting 50%, please let me know how I can fix it.

A: In Marian’s manual pay, the last column was missing the letters ‘EN’

This basically stands for ‘Earnings Normal’ and distinguishes this payment from overtime earnings or allowances and deductions.

Normally, this would be entered automatically when you select the earnings code from the popup but because the code was typed in, the system didn’t know what it was meant to represent.

I typed in the EN, reprocessed Marian’s pay and all is well.

We’ll come up with a better solution but that’s something to remember whenever you are entering something not provided as an existing option.
