OpenInsight 9.0 for Windows Vista 64 bit

Proper configuration of the current OpenInsight 9.0 program requires several minor changes after the installation. Depending on your UAC (User Account Control) settings in Vista these may not apply to you. These guidelines assume you have a fresh installation of Vista 64 and OpenInsight 9.0.

64 Bit Specific Notes:

• 32 Bit Java Runtime - WebOI and CTO require a Java run time. For compatibility, install the 32 bit JRE (Java Runtime Environment). 
   
• Alternative Registry Location - This applies to OECGI2 and any other registry changes on Vista 64. To be compatible with 32 bit applications Vista 64 stores 32 bit registry keys separate from 64 bit keys. All registry changes for OpenInsight should be done under the branch:
  
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\RevSoft 
  
  To assist in the configuration of OECGI2 an updated registry file is available by clicking the link below. Use this in place of oecgi2.reg that ships with OpenInsight 9.0
